Need some advice
Ok, I only have $50 currently. I have never played Guild wars before, and I was wondering weather someone could give me a little advice on weather to Get the original Guild Wars, or get Factions. I would prefer one, that has more content, and alot of people that play it. If someone could give some differences between the two games, it would be greatly appreciated.

What are you looking for out of it.. more PVP or more PVE? PVE I would think should be the same in both ( only have original ) but from a PVP aspect Factions should have more content than the original according to all the write ups on it.

I recommend you start with Guld Wars (first one) and then buy the second one down the road sometime. The first one will keep you busy for a while.

I'd say the first if you would look purely at the content, forget the whole factions standalone idea, it isn't, prophecies must be twice as big, and with prophecies you can do all types of pvp except alliance battles, I believe, and PvE is much larger in GW:P.
But anyway I suggest you look at www.guildwars.com, and take a look at the content of each game. |

here are 2 starter guides you might look at for a better idea. remember to try to keep as many of your original starting characters if you can without deleting and starting over as each one that has been on the account (even if not used much) gets a nice mini pet as a birthday present http://www.guildwarsguru.com/content...-10-id1195.php http://www.guildwarsguru.com/content...lon-id1264.php |

I also recommend the original and it should be cheaper for you as well. In our guild people are playing in both Tyria and Cantha and we are willing to help anyone. Check us out if you get the game.
I was in pre-searing (starter area for original) a couple of days ago and it seemed like there were just as many people around as usual. With a good guild that is less of an issue anyway. |
